A major automotive group's UK operations had a persistent problem: employees needed to navigate extensive HR policy documentation to answer basic procedural questions. Manual searches through lengthy documents were time-consuming, inconsistent, and frustrating for both employees and HR teams.
The Solution
We built an AI-powered HR chatbot using Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search, capable of retrieving answers at section, paragraph, and page level. The system was deployed on Azure with MongoDB for document storage and Streamlit for a clean, accessible interface — all provisioned via Terraform for reliable infrastructure management.
The Impact
Employees now receive accurate, contextually relevant HR answers instantly — without navigating a single document manually. The HR team has seen a significant reduction in routine query volume, freeing capacity for higher-value work.
