The Challenge
Machine breakdowns on a global automotive manufacturer's shop floor triggered a costly and inefficient process: technicians scrambled across SAP systems and scattered technical documentation to diagnose faults, losing critical production time in the process. Institutional knowledge was fragmented and inconsistent.
The Solution
We built an agentic AI system that integrates live SAP data with technical documentation from multiple platforms, powered by AWS Bedrock and LangChain. The system uses FAISS and Chroma vector stores for fast document retrieval and was deployed via AWS SageMaker and CodePipeline. Technicians interact with a Streamlit interface, asking questions in plain language and receiving step-by-step diagnostic guidance.
The Impact
Shop-floor technicians now receive immediate, context-aware troubleshooting guidance without leaving their station. SAP maintenance records and technical manuals are unified in one conversational interface, dramatically reducing mean time to resolution.
